I was out for a quick walk this afternoon when the sky suddenly opened up. Normally, getting caught in the rain feels like an inconvenience, but today it was exactly what I needed. The sudden rush of wind, the smell of wet pavement, and the cold drops snapping me out of my daydreams. Sometimes life forces you to be entirely present. I walked the rest of the way home soaking wet but oddly energized.
